Image editing and drawing

• Photoshop

Drawing

• Clip Studio Paint: I got it for 20€ on sale as a single purchase, now there's single and monthly/yearly payments.
• Krita: a great free option for drawing.
• Adobe Illustrator: great for vector drawings but I have to look into Inkscape.

Coding

• Visual Studio Code: honestly it's way better than using the Neocities editor. Also I can just upload the already finished file without spamming the servers by refreshing every time I make a change...
• Notepad++ is also great.

Writing down stuff

• Obsidian: you can take notes with it, and sort them into folders. It's great fot jotting down coding strings, writing scripts (stories, not code), or whatever you want. There's also the posibility to make diagrams and insert pictures to make reference boards. I use it all the time.

3D

• Blender is free, and big companies are starting to use it.

Videogames

• Unity: it has a huge community and every question you'll have will be already answered, but you'll have to pay $$.
• Godot: my favourite, it's free, and you can do soo much with it. It may not be as powerful as Unity or Unreal, but its still very good.
